The trio shares a love of the music of Canadian singer/songwriter
Willie P. Bennett.
Their first CD consisted entirely of 'Willie P' songs. Albums since have been made up of Willie P. tunes,
original material and covers of some of the band's favourite artists. The three main members of Blackie continue their solo careers but
are appearing on a regular basis as a trio, and, on occasion, more when they add Gary Craig and John Dymond
to the roster. The late Richard Bell on keyboards is sadly missed.
